PRE SKIN INFORMATION

A facial is a great way to relax, de-stress, and improve the look and feel of your skin. To make sure you get the most out of your facial, here are some tips to consider before the treatment.

SKIN TREATMENT

  • Be sure to thoroughly clean your skin with a gentle cleanser suited for your skin type.

  • Make sure to remove all makeup.

  • Avoid using any harsh exfoliants or scrubs the day before.

  • Do not use any prescription topical skin treatments without consulting with a physician first.

  • Avoid sun exposure in the days leading up to the facial.

  • Keep your body hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

  • Wear comfortable, loose clothing to your appointment.

  • Avoid eating heavy meals prior to the treatment.

  • Let your facial therapist know of any skin sensitivities or allergies
     

Follow all of these steps before the facial and your skin will be ready to receive the full benefits of the treatment.

POST SKIN TREATMENT INFORMATION

  • Avoid products that contain retinoids ( retinol ), AHAs (alpha hydroxy acid, such as glycolic acid/lactic acid), BHAs (beta hydroxy acids, such as salicylic), micro beads, or enzymes that will further exfoliate the skin for at least 5/7 days

  • ​You may experience slight redness after your treatment, thi will subside over the next 12hrs.

  • Avoid the use of makeup for 12hrs (24hrs for chemical peel clients)

  • Slight peeling may occur around day 3, avoid picking or touching  the area (chemical peel clients).

  • Avoid exposure to heat, including exercise, hot baths, steam rooms, saunas & sunbeds for 24hrs.

  • Avoid any type of facial treatment including harsh scrubs for 72hrs.

  • Increase your water intake (1.5-3l a day).

  • You may resume your normal skincare routine 24hrs post treatment.
